A Well Groomed “FLAT” Flying Field

The Field is FLAT

It seams every time the Flying Field needs work – These 2 guys are part of the work party !

When Al & Bill finished rolling the field, I placed a 1″ Marble” at the South end of the Field

and 22 Minutes and 6 Seconds later

The Marble rolled of the North End of the Field – YES, it is FLAT

Richard Hancock

The club was recently notified of the passing of Richard Hancock, enthusiastic modeller and friend.  Many of the Peterborough rc and modelling community will know Richard through his work at Lakefield Hobby and his years of radio control  boating. Chris White, owner of Lakefield Hobby, sent the following notification to the Young’s Point Radio Control Flying Club;

“It is with great sadness I must inform you of the passing of Richard Hancock. Richard suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm on Feb.21. He never regained consciousness and died Friday, peacefully with his family beside him.

Richard was a loyal employee, a very talented modeller with a heart filled with kindness. You will be sorely missed my friend.” Richard will be remembered for his easy going positive manner, willingness to help fellow and new modellers, and his broad hobby knowledge. Whenever dropping by Lakefield Hobby when Richard was working, you were always greeted with a warm hearted “how are you today”   The members of the Young’s Point Radio Control Flying club extend their heart felt condolences to the members of Richard’s family.
