Young’s Point Radio Control Flying Club (YPRCFC) is pleased to have all 3 of its MAAC sanctioned flying sites: Young’s Point field, and our 2 float sites up, and running for the 2024 flying season.
Current YPRCFC members are enjoying being back in the air, and the club has welcomed new members, young, and old (well, we say we’re middle aged), and numerous guests to the YPRCFC field.
Even in the cold weather of winter, the flying continues on the snow, and with skies.
The club continues to offer FREE flight training to all new club members.
The Young’s Point Radio Control Flying Club field is located on County Road #25; at the junction of County Road #20 (12th Line Smith) and County Road #25 (Young’s Point Rd.).
Our GPS coordinates are 44°28’48.2″N 78°15’02.9″W
provides members with a great flying site. The YPRCFC flying site has a main north/south grass runway for take-off and landings and a shorter west facing runway for short take-off purposes. The flying field also includes two covered (shaded) observation areas for member’s waiting to fly, or guests who have dropped in to observe the flying activities or to inquire about becoming an RC flier. The pit area offers ten uncovered table stations where members can start their RC Model and complete their pre-flight inspection and range tests prior to taxing to the designated flying area and runways.
The YPRCFC is a small diverse group of easy-going individuals from all walks of life who have an interest in radio control flying of airplanes, helicopters and quad copters (drones). We all come to the field to have fun and mingle with new and old friends. The YPRCFC is a place where members, guests, families and friends always feel welcome.
